About our counselling service
What is counselling?

Counselling is a working relationship in which you are helped to explore and manage what is happening in your life. It provides a safe and confidential space in which to explore the difficulties that you may be experiencing, in a way not always possible with family and friends.

The overall aim is to provide an opportunity for you to explore, discover and clarify ways of living more satisfyingly and resourcefully. Naturally, each person`s need will vary.

Counsellors do not judge or offer magical solutions but will help you to clarify what you want. You have navigated the journey so far, and are your own best expert in finding a way forward. The counsellor will be like a companion on the journey, looking at, and exploring the way ahead with you.
